Charging the EMDR Kit Wireless

How does charging work?

The EMDR Kit Wireless is designed for cordless sessions, providing maximum flexibility in the therapy room. To ensure your equipment is always ready for a client, follow these charging guidelines for the LightTube, Pulsators, and Headphones.

Charging the LightTube

The LightTube contains an internal rechargeable battery.

  • Connection: Plug the provided USB-C cable into the charging port located at the end of the LightTube.

  • Power Source: Connect the cable to the original power adapter or a powered USB port.

  • Status: A small LED indicator near the charging port shows the charging status. Once fully charged, the LightTube provides several hours of continuous wireless use.

  • Charging Time of the Wireless Light tube: Depending on the battery level charging takes up to 5 hours but could be much faster when the battery is not empty yet.

  • Battery duration of the Wireless Light tube: Depending on usage, the battery will last a minimum of one working day of full sessions. Often you will not use the Light Tube continually, so it will usually last for multiple days. The passive battery duration is around one week.

  • Charger:  Input: 100-220V 50/60Hz 0.4A. Output: 12V 1.0A

Charging the Pulsators (Docking Station)

The Pulsators are charged together via the Docking Station.

  • Placement: Place both Pulsators into the designated slots on the Docking Station.

  • Powering the Dock: Connect the Docking Station to a power outlet using its specific power cable.

  • Status Indicators: The Docking Station features LED indicators that change color (usually from red to green) when the Pulsators are fully charged and ready for use.

  • Charging Time of the Wireless Pulsators: Depending on the battery level charging takes up to 5 hours but could be much faster when the battery is not empty yet.

  • Battery duration of the Wireless Pulsators: Depending on usage, the battery will last a minimum of one working day of full sessions. Often you will not use the Pulsators continually, so it will usually last for multiple days. The passive battery duration is around two weeks.

  • Charger: (same as for Light Tube): Input: 100-220V 50/60Hz 0.4A. Output: 12V 1.0A

Note for Older Wireless Models: Place the Pulsators into the integrated charging slots at the base of the Light Tube itself if you do not have a seperate dockingstation. Another thing to note is that these older version of Wireless Pulsator can blink red and blue at the same time, which means they are currently low on battery (red) while also showing their pairing mode indication (flasing blue).

Charging the Wireless Headphones

The Headphones are charged independently to ensure they can be placed anywhere in your practice.

  • Connection: Use the charging cable (Micro-USB or USB-C depending on your model) and plug it into the port on the ear cup.

  • Charging time of the Wireless headphones: Depending on the battery level charging takes up to 5 hours but could be much faster when the battery is not empty yet.

  • Battery duration: A full charge typically supports a full day of sessions, often multiple days since you don't use them constantly. We recommend charging the headphones alongside your other components at the end of the day. Passive battery duration is around 2 weeks.

Battery Care & Best Practices

To maintain the lifespan and performance of your EMDR Kit Wireless batteries, please follow these tips:

  • Use Original Hardware: Always use the chargers and cables provided by EMDR Kit. High-voltage third-party chargers can damage the sensitive Bluetooth modules.

  • Regular Charging: Avoid letting the batteries drain to 0%. Charging the kit after a day of use is the best practice for battery health.

  • Storage: If you do not plan to use the kit for an extended period, ensure the components are charged to at least 50% before storing them in the carrying bag.
