Hygiene and Maintenance (EMDR Kit Wireless)

Advice regarding hygiene and maintenance

To ensure your EMDR Kit Wireless remains a functional and durable tool in your practice, regular cleaning and proper maintenance are essential. Following these guidelines helps prevent hardware issues and ensures a hygienic experience for your clients.

Pulsator Hygiene & Care

As the Pulsators are held directly by clients, they require the most frequent attention:

  • Cleaning: Use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution or specialized equipment disinfectant wipes to clean the exterior.

LightTube & Tripod Maintenance

The Light Tube and tripod should be handled with care:

  • Dusting: Use a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust from the Light Tube surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the casing.

  • Tripod Tension: If the tripod legs become too tight or too loose, use the hex key supplied with the tripod to adjust the tension of the joints.

  • Storage: When not in use, store the Light Tube in the optional carrying bag to protect it from wear.

Headphone Care

  • Ear Cushions: Wipe the ear cushions with a non-alcoholic disinfectant wipe after each use.

  • Cables: For the EMDR Kit Classic, avoid wrapping the headphone cables tightly around the controller, as this can cause internal wire breakage over time.

Important Maintenance Rules

To maintain your two-year warranty and the longevity of the internal electronics:

  • Original Power Supplies: Only use the official adapters provided by EMDR Kit. Third-party chargers can damage the batteries and internal Bluetooth modules.

  • Moisture Protection: Never expose the kit to extreme moisture, dampness, or liquid spillage, as this is not covered under the warranty.

  • Temperature: Avoid storing or charging the kit in extreme temperatures (above 24°C or 75°F for optimal charging).
