Advice regarding hygiene and maintenance
To ensure your EMDR Kit Classic remains a reliable and professional tool, regular cleaning and careful handling of the wired components are essential. Proper maintenance prevents hardware failure and ensures a hygienic environment for your clients.
Pulsator Hygiene & Care
Since the wired Pulsators are held directly by your clients during every session, they require consistent attention:
Cleaning: Use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution or specialized equipment disinfectant wipes to clean the plastic exterior.
Cable Care: The connection point where the wire enters the Pulsator is the most sensitive part. Instruct clients not to pull or press on the wire or swing the Pulsators by the cord.
Light Tube & Tripod Maintenance
The Light Tube and its tripod should be handled with care:
Dusting: Use a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust from the LightTube surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the casing.
Tripod Tension: If the tripod legs become too tight or too loose over time, use the hex key supplied with the tripod to adjust the tension of the joints.
Storage: When the session is over, store the Light Tube in the optional carrying bag to protect it from dust and accidental damage.
Headphone
- Ear Cushions: Wipe the headphone ear cushions with a non-alcoholic disinfectant wipe after each use.
Controller Care
Controller: Use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution or specialized equipment disinfectant wipes to clean the plastic exterior.
Cables
Cable Management: To prevent internal wire breakage, do not wrap the cables tightly around the Controller or the LightTube. Coil them loosely when placing them in the bag.
Important Maintenance Rules
To maintain your two-year warranty and the longevity of the internal electronics:
Original Power Supplies: Only use the official 12V adapter provided by EMDR Kit. Third-party power supplies can provide unstable voltage, damaging the vibration motors and internal circuitry.
Moisture Protection: Never expose the Controller, Pulsators, or LightTube to extreme moisture or liquid spillage. Damage caused by liquid is not covered under the warranty.
Unplugging: When the kit is not in use for an extended period, it is best to unplug the power adapter from the wall to protect against power surges.
