Charging the EMDR Kit Classic

How does charging work for the EMDR Kit Classic?

The EMDR Kit Classic is a portable system powered by a rechargeable battery located inside the Controller. To ensure your therapy sessions are never interrupted, it is important to monitor the battery status and use the correct charging equipment provided with your kit. A fully charged controller is designed to last for several days of regular clinical use.

How to Charge the Controller

To charge your device, follow these steps:

  1. Use the Provided Adapter: Only use the official power adapter included with your EMDR Kit Classic. Using third-party chargers can damage the internal battery and may void your warranty.

  2. Connect to the Controller: Plug the adapter into the socket labeled "Adapter" on the top of the controller.

  3. Plug into a Wall Outlet: Connect the adapter to a standard power outlet (100-240V).

  4. Initial Charge: Before using the kit for the very first time, we recommend giving the controller a full charge.

Monitoring Battery Status

You can easily check the power level on the controller's built-in display:

  • Battery Symbol: A battery icon is visible on the screen. When the bars are full, the device is fully charged.

  • Automatic Shutdown: To preserve battery life, the controller will automatically shut down if it has not been used for one hour.

  • During Use: You can keep the controller plugged into the adapter during a session if the battery is low, though we recommend charging it between sessions for maximum mobility.

Battery Care and Safety

To keep your EMDR Kit Classic in top condition, please keep the following safety guidelines in mind:

  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the controller to extreme heat, cold, or moisture, as this can reduce the battery's lifespan.

  • Storage: If you do not plan to use the kit for an extended period, ensure the controller has some charge before storing it in the optional carrying bag.

  • Authorized Repair: If you notice the battery life has significantly decreased over time, do not attempt to open or modify the controller yourself. Please contact our support team for assistance.
