Specifications: EMDR Kit Classic

Specifications for the EMDR Kit Classic

The EMDR Kit Classic is a professional corded system for EMDR therapy. It features a controller, Light Tube, pulsators, and headphones for reliable session use.

This standalone system is designed for high-frequency clinical use, providing consistent bilateral stimulation without the need for an external app or internet connection. Below are the specific technical details for each component.

Controller & Power Supply

The central controller acts as the power source and synchronization hub for all connected peripheral devices.

  • Battery Type: Internal rechargeable battery.

  • Battery Life: A full charge typically lasts for several days of regular clinical use.

  • Auto-Off Timer: The device will automatically shut down after 1 hour of inactivity to preserve battery life.

  • Charging Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 0.3A (Global voltage compatibility).

  • Charging Output: 12V ⎓ 0.6A.

  • Display: Built-in screen for menu navigation and battery status monitoring.

Light Tube (Visual Stimulus)

The Light Tube serves as the primary visual guide and dictates the timing for the other modalities.

  • Connection Port: Top of controller, labeled "Light."

  • Operating Modes: Sweeping (smooth movement) and Blinking (instant left-to-right jumps).

  • Adjustable Parameters: Speed, Color (including a Random setting), Width of the light dot, and Brightness intensity.

Pulsators (Tactile Stimulus)

The Pulsators provide rhythmic vibration through a wired connection to the controller.

  • Connection Port: Top of controller, labeled "Pulsator."

  • Synchronization: Precisely timed to pulse when the light dot crosses the midline of the Light Tube.

  • Intensity Control: Adjustable vibration strength via the "Intense" menu setting.

Headphones (Auditory Stimulus)

The headphones deliver alternating sound pulses to accompany the visual and tactile stimulation.

  • Connection Port: Top of controller, labeled "Headphone."

  • Synchronization: Timed to play a sound exactly when the light dot reaches the left and right endpoints of the Light Tube.

  • Audio Modes: Regular (consistent rhythm) or Random (irregular intervals).

  • Pitch Adjustment: Customizable pitch height via the "Tone" menu setting.

Physical Information & Warranty

  • Tripod: Height-adjustable with a counter-clockwise click-locking mechanism.

  • Protection: Designed to be stored and transported in the padded EMDR Kit carrying bag.

  • Warranty Coverage: 2-year manufacturer warranty on the Light Tube, Pulsators, Headphones, and Adapter.

Sound & Noise Level of the Puslators

  • Design Focus: We design our pulsators to be as noiseless as possible to maintain a calm, focused therapeutic environment. You can hear them, but our customers are highly satisfied with the low sound levels in daily practice.
  • Real-World Factors: While the internal motor is very quiet, the actual sound heard during a session depends on a few practical variables:
    • The Grip: How tightly or loosely the client holds the units.
    • Jewelry: If a client wears a ring, it can occasionally create a slight clicking sound against the smooth plastic casing.
    • Intensity Settings: Higher intensity naturally creates a bit more vibration sound. If you need a completely quiet experience, simply lower the intensity via the EMDR Kit app.
