How are taxes calculated?
Tax and import rules vary depending on your delivery location. We aim for maximum transparency so there are no surprises when your package arrives.
🇺🇸 United States (Delivered Duty Paid)
We ship all U.S. orders DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).
No Surprise Bills: The price in our webshop is "all-in." You will not be asked to pay any additional fees or tariffs upon delivery.
Tax Deductibility: U.S. import duties are generally not tax-deductible for individuals. For businesses, they are typically capitalized into the asset’s basis or recovered through Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Non-Profits: Please note that U.S. customs duties are not waived for charities or non-profits for this category of equipment.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
We offer two ways to handle import costs at checkout:
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Select this to pay all VAT and duties upfront. Our system calculates the total, and you will have no extra charges upon delivery.
Standard Shipping: Prices are shown tax-exclusive. For orders over £135, UK VAT and applicable duties will be collected by the courier (typically FedEx) before delivery.
🇪🇺 European Union
VAT is calculated based on the destination country of the order.
Standard Rates: The applicable VAT rate (e.g., 21% for the Netherlands, 19% for Germany) is applied to all products and shipping costs at checkout.
Business Customers (Intra-Community): If you are a business outside the Netherlands with a valid VAT ID, enter it at checkout. Once verified, the system will apply 0% VAT to your invoice.
Non-EU / Rest of World
Purchases made outside the EU are tax-exempt at our checkout.
Import Fees: Your local customs authority may charge VAT, import duties, or administrative fees upon arrival.
How it’s Calculated: These costs are determined by your country’s laws based on the HS Code (product category) and total order value. We recommend checking with your local customs office for specific rates.
