My credit card payment failed. What should I do?
If your credit card payment was declined at checkout, it is usually due to security measures implemented by your bank or our payment processor. Banks occasionally flag these transactions as "unusual" as we are based in the Netherlands, while you may be ordering from a different country.
Here is how to resolve the issue:
1. Check your 3D Secure / MFA
Most European and international business cards now require 3D Secure (e.g., Verified by Visa or Mastercard ID Check).
Ensure you have your banking app or SMS-token device ready.
Make sure you didn't accidentally close the pop-up window or tab used for authentication.
2. Contact your Bank
If the technical side worked but the payment was still declined, your bank likely blocked the transaction for your protection.
Call the number on the back of your card.
Tell them you are attempting an international purchase from SE Factory in the Netherlands.
Ask them to "whitelist" the transaction and try the checkout again.
3. Verify Your Limit
Business credit cards often have a single-transaction limit that is lower than the total credit limit. Ensure the order total (including shipping and any applicable tax) does not exceed your daily or per-transaction spending limit.
4. Try an Alternative Method
If your card continues to fail, we recommend trying a different payment method that is available to you on the checkout page.
Still having trouble?
